my "mini cooper"

ok i cant afford a mini cooper..
or should i say i would need a few more months of savings before i could afford one.
so i found my alternative.
mini "nissan marche" cooper...
of course its nothing compared to my "ideal car" (ie. mini cooper, beetle etc)
but i guess its as good as it can get..
well, i guess life is about compromise..

Sunset @ Haneda

it was a stormy sat afternoon. and i had to be at Haneda airport (30 min from downtown Tokyo) that evening.. luckily the weather cleared by the time the flight arrived. the sky after a storm is always the best. lucky for me, i managed to capture a few gd shots of Haneda's runway...

the choi-tan family

well, my sister and her family..
this pic was taken in jan 2005 when they visited singapore for chinese new year.
my brother-in-law vincent choi and my sister elaine choi, together with the kids..
theodore has the habit of making faces when he poses for pictures..but still adorable..
with these pics, i have completed the introduction of my family..
next up in the series will be pics of my friends..but before that, a special feature of theo and tessa.

well, let me introduce my nephew and niece, theodore and tessa respectively..
this pic was taken at pasir ris beach on the day before the kids left for home (ie. australia)..
these kids are simply adorable.
cant describe how much joy they bring me each time i see them.
i was really sad that day when i realised they were really leaving me. it will be quite some time before i could see them again as i would be leaving for tokyo after they left in jan this year..
i hope they can visit me in tokyo soon enough..
more on the kids later...will do a special feature on each of them later..

ok, how rude of me not to introduce my family...
the tan family of course.
this is a pic of my parents and i hours before i left for tokyo..
of course these excludes my sister and her family, including my cutest nephew and niece. (i will devote a separate blog just for them)..
my sister (elaine) and her family are in australia while my parents are alone in singapore.
and in the background is my proud new house which i painstakingly designed..i am proud of it, of course.

well, before i even update you guys on my life.
you have to know someone significant in my life.
"cooper", my precious dog.
cooper was my first major precious, 1 week after i arrived in tokyo.
since my parents never allowed me a dog when i was in singapore,
i took this opportuntiy to do something i had been "deprived" of back home.

why cooper?
cos i could not realise my dream of owning a "mini cooper"(car) when i am in tokyo
i guess a dog named after my dream car was as good as it gets..

i know many of you are probably against the idea of jeremy owning a dog
simply because you think i will kill it.
ok, i promise to take care of it well..

ok, i have procrastinated...
its time to debut now, after 2 mths since I arrived in tokyo..

now that i am more or less settled down here, its time to start a blog and update my friends on my life in Nippon.

Jiyugaoka

met constance for a chill out sunday. we decided on jiyugaoka..nice cosy cafes around..wonderful spring weather...cant believe that we decided to go yokohama after that for dinner. constance brought me to this nice restaurant along the waterfront but we decided not to wait because of the queue. and guess what, we ended up eating KFC?!?!?
